Dear Industrialists, Researchers and Colleagues,
DIMEC - University of Genoa organizes on 12 and 15 May 2009 two open
days to disclose and disseminate part of the results on handling of
fabric and technical textiles obtained in the EU Integrated Project
Leapfrog-IP.
The exhibits comprise a robotized station handling different fabrics
using a robot equipped with a high flow vacuum gripper and a demo of
shape memory polymers representing potential actuators for the
manufacturing equipment of the future.
Presentations on the general results obtained in the project on textile
automation will be given as well and the researchers of DIMEC will be
available for discussion.
The two days are organized in DIMEC premises, in Genoa, Faculty of
Engineering, via Opera Pia 15A, Genoa, Italy.
The PMARlab will be open to visitors who will have previously announced
their visit. Demos will be run and presentation held accordingly to the
interests of the visitors.
Visits must be booked in advance for organizational reasons.
